Look for The Gold Within

This fabulous photo reminds me every day to look for the gold within every situation.  There is always some small, bit of gold dust or if you are lucky a huge great gold nugget in any situation you are in.

I read a book once about this dude  who used to sit on a rock and wonder how he could make his fortune, he sat day after day and thought how he could sell the farm and go somewhere where he could become rich and successful.  Man, he could hardly wait !  The day came when he sold the farm and he moved away faster than a rat up a drainpipe.
Guess what, the person who purchased the farm discovered that the very rock that this guy had  sat on day after day contained a precious  mineral -  silver (or it may have been gold, I can't remember now).
Moral is, look for the gold within whatever situation you are now in !  
Life is now.  It is not a dress rehearsal.
If you fall flat on your face, maybe there is a photo opportunity there :)
Maybe if you miss the bus, the person on the next one maybe the very person you need to meet. 
If you find yourself knee deep in lemons make lemonade - yes, OK, that one has been thrashed to death but you get my drift.

Tranquillity - Water Lilies

Water Lilies, beautiful,  tranquil, serene, yet beneath the surface there are flexible and strong supports that move and sway  with each ripple, each tiny movement of the water is experienced by the lilies as they are at one with the energies of the water yet they move to their own rhythm, their own beat of the drum. A world, within a world 

Rivers of Life

Who is driving your bus, are you being towed by the nose to someplace you don't want to go ?

Where is your river taking you in your life ?
Are you a leaf being pushed around with the forces of the rivers of life  or are you moving to your own energy patterns ?

Are you moving to the beat of your own drum or are you dancing to someone elses tune ?    It is pretty easy to just drift along in life and suddenly you realize that you aren't going anyplace, anytime soon !  Maybe it might take a catastrophic occasion to get you to see it or maybe some small thing will trigger that aha moment when you suddenly "get it" and realize its totally up to you.  One thing is for sure, if you don't set your own course then someone, or something else will decide for you - its a bit like hopping on a bus without checking the destination and then bleating that its not going where you want to go !  How many of us spend time and energy worrying about things that will never happen, or become depressed because we are not getting anywhere but  if you do what you always do, you will get what you always get.

 Just imagine every time you get depressed, or start complaining about  your life  putting  that energy into affirming what you do want.  How much faster will you get there ?  Are you stuck in a rut because you haven't decided where you want to go or be or,  even worse,  haven't even realized you were in  a rut ?


It doesn't take much to change your life, just a few minutes working on what you want, in fact the hardest part is deciding what actually it is that you do want and where you want to be headed in your own river of life.

Where are You ? Where are you going ? Reiki

Where are you in life ? Where are you heading ? What do you want out of life ?
So easy until you really stop to think about what it is you really want.

I read this book called "I could do anything .. if only I knew what it was" by Barbara Sher with Barbara Smith Hah Hah ! Well put by the authors I think !! Very true, while most of us drift around like rudderless boats there seem to be the odd few who know exactly where they are and where they are going.

A really neat creative way to suspend your critical self is by distraction - you know the self that chatters away in your head telling you you can't do this or that until you know something else and on and on in your head playing that same old negative stuff.

This distraction is pure pleasure - pick up a paintbrush, go on, give it a whirl, make the paint quite fluid and just think about where you are at, where you are going. Just idly let the brush go where it will and enjoy the fabulous mix of colours and blend. Your life could be like that too. Once you set your course strange things happen and you set in motion the means to get there. When you are relaxed and in a receptive you will find more opportunities open to you, things run smoothly and doors open. But first you need to relax ......

Reiki is a fabulous way to relax - I first discovered it for myself when I was stressed out to such an extent I could have been used as a violin string ! After trying almost everything I went, in desperation for a Reiki Treatment. Just close your eyes she started and after the treatment I floated out the door and went home. End of stress ! End of story ! I slept for around 12, got up, floated back to work and drifted through my day. My co-workers couldn't believe it - I got a problem mmmmnnnn OK, lets try this.. another mind blowing problem, another solution and so went my day as the pressures of the day changed to minor challenges and innovative solutions. Was I hooked ! This was for me, for sure ! Only thing was, I need a bit of an edge for my competitive career ! I had to stop off the treatments for a bit as I was too relaxed ! While I was doing some research for one of my sites when I nearly fell off the chair in excitement to spot this fantastic Reiki training package. How To Create Your Own Reality - The Day of the Baby Pheasant

Today I held a day old baby Pheasant in my hands.

It was like holding the rhythm of life in my hands - serene and placid in my palms, pulsating with possibilities and when I set it down it took off running like a harrier.

It's like setting your reality in motion - you drift about almost stationary until you set a direction or goal to head towards them wham - almost faster than lightening - or a baby pheasant.

Re-writing your life script can be like the baby pheasant - alive with possibilities or rowing around in circles. How many circles do you row in ?

Not only can you decide which shore you want to head towards - why not grab the paintbrush and whack a bit of paint around ? Drench your page in luscious colors and make your dream life appear faster than a lizard drinking. Slosh on color and think about what it is you really want out of life. At the same time why not ditch the oars and attach a fast motor !
